  • LSE Podcast #24 – From Milano to Europe: COVID data, live music scenes and metropolis (Mar 22)

    Published on 16 March 2022

Live Style Europe is a monthly radio show presented by Live DMA, European non-governmental network representing over 3000 live music venues, clubs, and festivals in 17 different countries and working to support and to promote the condition of the European live music sector. Each month, we invite a live music expert from our network to discuss topics that caught the attention of the European music industry: from policies and regulations, over European cooperation projects up to initiatives that shake up the music sector in Europe!

You can also expect news on topics and challenges that our members are dealing with on a national level. Tune in to the LIVE STYLE EUROPE radio show to be up to date on the latest evolutions of the European live music industry.

These last years, with COVID, the venues’ activities stopped. We, at Live DMA, have released several studies on the impact of COVID restrictions on small and medium sized live music scenes. Today, we would like to dive a little bit more into these studies, notably with the Live DMA coordinator Audrey Guerre. But before taking a look at the European scale, let’s see what is happening at a more local scale. With Gaianè Kevorkian from the Italian live music association KeepOn Live, we will hear about the study they have done to see the impact of COVID for the live music venues in the city of Milan. This episode will also take a look at European metropolis cultural policy about live music.
