Geographic scope
Mobility between Creative Europe countries. Culture Moves Europe is open to all EU Member States, as well as some non-EU participating countries, which you can find on this list.
Type of partnerships
No consortium required. International partner needed, outside of individual’s country of residence. The international partner can be an individual or an organisation.

Cultural organisations (venues, festivals).
Budget
Small scale (a few thousand euros per grant), based on travel distance, duration, and individual support (per diem). Additional funding is available to cover specific situations, including environmentally sustainable travel, travel to or from overseas countries and territories or outermost regions, as well as family-related and visa expenses. Funding takes the form of a lump sum financed at 100%, so no co-funding is required.
Project duration
Short-term (from a few days up to 6 months).
Administrative complexity
Low. Applicants must upload the required supporting documents:
- Official national identification
- Proof of legal residence
- Short curriculum vitae (CV)
- Artistic and creative portfolio
- Letter of invitation from the international partner
The call for individual mobility allows applications from individuals and groups of up to 5 people. Culture Moves Europe is open to individuals only, which are +18 years of age, legally residing in one of the Creative Europe countries, including the overseas countries and territories and outermost regions, and active in the cultural sector.
Regularity of calls
Between 2 and 4 calls per year. There is a short time-span between the application, the results and the start of the project.
Success rate
Music is the third most funded sector among Culture Moves Europe applications. In 2022, the average success rate for Culture Moves Europe, Individual Mobility strand was 38%.
