This discussion, held as part of Nuits sonores’ conference programme in Lyon (France), aims to offer a comparative perspective between Canada and Europe, and explore possible courses of action to address this trend.

    Audrey Guerre will attend the event in Bucharest (Romania) and speak in the “The Live Music Ecosystem in Europe: What’s Next?” panel discussion. Powered by the Music Moves Europe Dialogue, it examines how current growth patterns in the live music ecosystem affect cultural diversity across a large spectrum of live music, including popular, jazz, and classical repertoires.

    The KISMIF Conference (Porto, Portugal) addresses DIY cultures as key sites of social innovation in contexts of global uncertainty, engaging with artivism, civic imagination, feminist practices, environmental action and grassroots forms of resistance. During the 2026 edition, Léna Lozano will present the academic rewrite of the Watchtower, an explorative overview of noise complaints as a socio-acoustic object.

Held around Europe Day each year, the event combines engaging discussions on the future of Europe and music, networking moments, and live gigs with the next generation of European artists. We’re attending the Brussels event at the Ancienne Belgique, ending with concerts by Della, Roza and SexyTadhg in the evening.

This panel will present recent findings on ownership structures in the live music sector and put them in conversation with trends in recorded music, examining what these developments mean for artists, audiences and independent operators.

    Live DMA, Reset!, and SMA will host the panel “Concentration of music festivals in Europe: challenges and developments since 2022” at Les Transmusicales in Rennes (France) on Friday 5 December. Panelists will introduce the latest update to the study on concentration phenomena in the European music festivals sector first published by the SMA in 2022.
  • Liveurope Festival 2025

    The Liveurope Festival arrives in Milan and Parma for its sixth edition: a three-day celebration of of new music from across the continent from 27 to 29 November. Live DMA will host a Crowdbuilder workshop and a Survey meeting during the event.
  • This event, organised by MEPs Laura Ballarín Cereza and Pierfrancesco Maran, aims at bringing together a range of stakeholders, policymakers, and experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities surrounding dynamic pricing in different sectors and its regulation in light of the Commission’s forthcoming proposal for the Digital Fairness Act. Erica Romero Pender will represent Live DMA in a panel addressing the risks and abuses of dynamic pricing in practice.
  • Live DMA will present its study on booking practices in Europe during a dedicated gathering of bookers and directors organized by FEDELIMA, the French network of live music venues.
