Live DMA has the pleasure to celebrate its 10 years anniversary during BIME PRO 2022, in collaboration with our member Kultura Live from the Basque Country.
ABOUT LIVE DMA
We are a European network of live music associations, aiming at supporting the global ecosystem of music venues, clubs and festivals. Today, we gather 20 members in 16 European countries, representing over 3000 live music scenes.
Since 2017, the European Commission is granting us funding via the Creative Europe programme, which enables us to pursue our network’s project Live Style Europe. This project’s main goal is to structure the live music sector and enhance the local music scenes. It aims to make cooperation between our members easier, to provide them with tools, opportunities and knowledge, and create safe places to share experiences, subsequently helping live music venues, clubs and festivals to adapt to the changes of the music sector.
Few months ago we started the second part of the Live Style Europe project, with an emphasis on the main challenges of our period: towards a fairer, more inclusive and ecological live music sector.
Live DMA was created in 2012, therefore we are celebrating our 10th anniversary this year! We are very happy to partner with BIME which welcomes us in October to celebrate, and gather with many peers and stakeholders of the sector around many crucial topics. TIMELINE AND STORY OF LIVE DMA
ABOUT BIME PRO
BIME is a meeting of live music actors and other cultural and creative industries happening twice a year in Bilbao (ES) and Bogotá (COL). This professional event shares the values of cooperation and internationalisation with Latin America and Europe, with a focus on innovation, technology, networking, and of course the future of the music sector. We have the pleasure to organise our birthday panels and activities at BIME in partnership with our members ACCES from Spain, and Kultura Live from the Basque Country, and ASACC from Catalonia.
Live DMA team and members will attend BIME PRO in Bilbao from the 26th to the 28th of October
On Wednesday 26th, our members will meet for our Survey meeting and Try-angle meeting. Meet us on Thursday 27th during our panels and networking activities!

MORE ON THE PANELS
Support your local music scene! 10 years of Live DMA and cooperation across Europe to recognise the cultural value of live music venues, clubs and festivals · EN
Live DMA was created in 2012 from the need of live music associations to exchange resources and to advocate for the support and cultural recognition of the live music venues, clubs and festivals in the different European countries. 10 years later, what was achieved and what’s left to be done? What were the most effective tools and actions to support the local music scenes? While dealing with a global pandemic, the war in Ukraine and the climate crisis, how to reaffirm the cultural and social value of the live music scenes in 2022?
A Conversation with live music venues on new audience strategies · EN
Following the try-angle experimentation introduced in BIME in 2021, and the first meeting of the participants in Bilbao, professionals discuss why and how they intend to change their working methods to reach new audiences in their live music venues.
